Food at camp
Food was slightly irritating to organise main reason was because our group (blue) organised food for the adults but we didn't need to so we had to do it all over but we managed to pull through and boy was that worth it. Every night we had delicious food, my favourite was American hotdogs made by Lachlan Rennie. We got lucky to have a birthday boy in our group so we had chocolate cheesecake and that was the best dessert I have ever had.
Overall the food organisation went really smooth and I think we should do the same thing next year on camp!

Book review
I'm reading a book called 'codes how to make and break them' I'm about half way through the book and so far I've learned about some kinds of codes and how to 'make and break them' I recommend this book because it teaches and entertains.

How to be positive-the power of positivity
5 Steps to being positive.
Step 1- Try to find the best in every situation.
Step 2-live like spongebob-laugh out loud all day without any reason and annoy all the mean people with your positivity.
Step 3-give someone a smile every day and it should become habitual.
Step 4-gratitude is the best attitude.
Step 5-if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.
BONUS STEP-if none of these work try them all again.

Project 7
While the year 8’s were away the year 7s did some project 7 work, What we did was have a big tidy up around our classroom. We tidied the chicken coop, the seated off cabbage trees, the garden by our classroom and the by team South. I was helping with the cabbage tree leaves along with Alex, Harry, Milly and Zoe.
We managed to get rid of all the leaves and put them in the hungry heap. We also swept around the front area of the classroom and disposed of it. One crazy thing that happened was Harry noticed that the drainage for the garden (that has the cabbage trees in) was blocked, so Harry and I grabbed all of the dirt and mud out of the drain but the crazy thing was that when we started getting down really deep and it was getting gross we found a ball it was hard to get out because it was stuck on something but it was still in perfect condition, which i found really weird.
My one goal to do better next time is to stay around the the jobs that need the most help.
Clubs!
Clubs are a new activity in school. We had some options like coding, jigsaw puzzles, animation and more
I chose the green team club because i like a lot of fun creative activities like landscape made out of nature items. Also I watch David Attenborough and he talks a lot about animals and plants and I was sure that the green team would have all of that.
I expected lots about animals and plants but so far this hasn't been the case, but I'm pretty sure there will be loads things like this.
On the first day we had 2 choices of what to do one was to cut of some news paper and make beads out of it the second choice was to sew a little mouse for yourself and i choose that. I nearly finished mine but i didn't have enough time. I enjoyed it because it was my first time sewing and i think I did pretty well.
my goal for this club is to not get behind and finish all my activities in time and most importantly HAVE FUNNN!!!

Inspirational quotes
I absolutely love inspirational quotes because it makes anyone who's reads them want to be the greatest they can be just like me. Also they are written in such clever ways here are a phew quotes that stood out to me.
If people talk about you behind your back don't worry they are there for a reason(this is my favourite)
I like this because I thinks it's saying not to worry what other people say just keed doing the things you like
In order to succeed first you have to belive you can
This one is cool because I think it's saying to never stop believing

short story of what i heard on the news.
Some kids were playing on a beach and they found a tennis ball so they played catch with it. When they passed it around a bit they started hearing rattling noises coming from the ball so they opened it up and guess what they found... A KILLER OCTOPUS!?!? Luckily for them it was really small it was probably a baby. So that's all I heard about that weird story...

My fishing at Marlborough sounds
The first day
A couple weeks ago I went on holiday to the Marlborough sounds with my dad my friend Ben W from St Andrews school in Christchurch. He also was with his dad and some of his dad's friends his friends supplied us with a place to sleep.(they had a incredible 2 story batch)it was around 7 ours of driving i was so bored but the wait was all worth it as Dad and I got there we met up with Ben Andrew and his two friends ( the people letting us stay at the batch ) We all loaded up some gear onto the boat. ( our boat from christmas ) Like fishing gear and jackets because we were going to do alot of fishing. The next thing we did was get the boat in the water. Andrew drove the car and lowed the boat in while the others and I were on the boat so we could get it to a dock and wait for him to park the car and come over and hop on. When he did get on we set off for a good fishing spot one off the friends was really good at finding fishing spots, until we got there was pretty boring the only thing that happened was the other friend threw up! As we arrived, Ben Andrew the two friends and I were setting up the fishing-rods and cutting the bait up. After we had set everything up it was time to lower the fishing rods into the water. mine was in first and i was really nervous because it was my first time fishing so my dad held it for the first couple minutes then i decided i would hold it. In the first 5 minutes i caught my first fish! but in disappointment it was a baby cod, but at least i caught a fish.
The second day
The next day was a bit deferent. We got the boat was in the water and were traveling to the next spot.
it took a while but we finally got there and once a gain my fishing rod was in the water first. We were about to give up because it had been around 30 minutes of fishing and we were only getting sharks and loads of baby Cod but... when while the other had given up i got a huge bite then one of the friends did to and then Andrew i hooked the fish and started reeling it up it was pulling hard in what seemed like an eternity i finally pulled it up. It was a giant blue cod it was 33 centermeters and was going crazey flopping around, like a fish would i was amazed it was my second fish i also ate it for dinner that about all the fishing i did at the Marlborough Sounds.
